‘Bhramai Pranayama’ – Humming Bee Breath

Learning Danae’s favourite Pranayama technique, ‘Bhramari Pranayama’. Commonly named Humming Bee Breath due to the bee like vibration experienced.

Research shows that Bhramari breathing has multiple positive benefits, including a decrease in heart rate, an increase in attention and sleep quality, an enhancement of autonomic and lung function, and an increase in heart rate variability (HRV), benefiting you and your baby.

Learning ‘Sitali Pranayama’, commonly called Cooling Tongue Breath, offers numerous benefits especially for women experiencing heat or stress-related issues. Kundalini Power Breath

This technique involves taking inhales followed by a single controlled exhale. Researchers found that this rhythm activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps the body relax, lowers heart rate, and decreases stress hormone levels.

Kundalini power breath is weaved intermittently into a breath centered yoga practice. This offers you the opportunity to build a strong connection with your breath by exploring different ways to feel your breath and any after effects.

‘Nadi Shodhana Pranayama’ – Alternate Nostril Breathing

The ‘Nadi Shodhana Pranayama’ is a subtle energy clearing breathing technique, commonly called alternate nostril breathing.

Long-term alternate nostril breathing studies have shown this type of breath work enhances parasympathetic modulation. This modulation produces beneficial changes in mood, emotional state, improved cardiovascular and respiratory functions.

Butterfly Breath

The ‘Butterfly Breath’ is inspired by the graceful motion of a butterfly. Danae uses this movement to encourage thoracic breathing by emphasising the expansion of the ribcage.

This breathing style encourages breath flexibility, gracefulness and mobility. Butterfly breath is particularly helpful for women who prefer moving in smooth continuous motions to help anchor their mind and focus on their breath.
